Earth Power - by Scott Cunningham.

A book review.

Hi folks,

If you have seen my recent Elemental Spells then this is one of the books that inspires them and a book that I refer to almost every week! The book is “Earth Power” by the late Scott Cunningham. Scott was a prolific nature magic writer and practitioner and a very gentle soul. His compassion, passion and humour come through in his very engaging and personable writing style. I find myself smiling contentedly through every paragraph.

Earth Power “The ways of magic are revealed in nature . . . The secrets are written in meandering streams and drifting clouds, whispered by the roaring ocean and cooling breeze, echoed through caves and rocks and forests. When you draw a heart in the sand, call on the four winds for assistance, or ask the rain to wash away a bad habit, you are practicing earth magic. By working in harmony with nature, we can transform ourselves, our lives, and our world. This tried-and-true guide offers more than one hundred spells, rites, and simple rituals you can perform using the powerful energy of the earth.”

The techniques in Earth Power are very simple and really only require that you go out into nature and “tune in” to the source of life and the universe. This book continues to enhance my life and love of nature every day.

Disclosure: Just to let you all know that I am a member of the Amazon affiliate scheme. However, I will only ever recommend books and things that I own myself, or will be getting anyway, and that I believe enhance my love of nature and natural magic. All proceeds will be funnelled back into my Natural Magic facebook, web and Twitter pages. These funds will be used to support free offers of bespoke spells, along with nature related spell components, free personal rune readings and similar offers. If you have any suggestions of free offers please feel free to message me :)

Modern Pagans tend dismiss the cities in which they live as spiritually dead places. But spells can still be cast while in the urban environment.

A chance meeting near the Alps revealed how over time one old and unlearned peasant was able to complete a work worthy of God.

All true Shamans are able to achieve expanded states of awareness. The modern Shaman is no exception
